We don't need to make perfekt smoothie bowls, wake up early, meditate in the tidiest of rooms to prove to someone, that we take care of ourselves.
Who doesn‘t know the feeling...
of scrolling through the social media world & feeling unproductive after seeing the 82101green smoothie, yoga routine, weight lifting session with that perfect bod, meditation in that white dust-free tidiestest if all rooms, beauty routines, green teas [& there is so much more].. leaving you feeling.. well.. not enough.
Maybe thinking to yourself: „I‘m not doing all that (at all/every day), does that mean that I am not doing enough? not taking care of me enough? am I therefore not happy?„
Those videos / stories / pictures might be pleasant to watch but to be honest: sometimes they make me sad.
I witness girls pressuring, stressing themselves to fit into this unrealistic way of life & I‘m not saying that there is something wrong with doing yoga, meditation or having a tidy room 🤣 BUT there is also nothing wrong with doing none of those things: waking up late, not exercising, eating greasy 🤷♀️ it‘s all about your real well being: what does your heart & soul REALLY crave for, no matter what it looks from the outside!
These trends insinuate that there is just this way to find happiness, it triggers the feeling of „I am never good enough“ & it propagates a privileged stereotype of people having „norm-beauty bodies“, aesthetic, clean houses & financial stability.
Bottom line: you are enough! Do what makes YOU truly & deeply happy. 🫶
